Be Independent Home Care has officially signed up for Ibec's National Workplace Wellbeing Day, taking place on Wednesday, 29 April 2026. This year's theme is belonging, and it's one that means a lot to us, both for our clients and for our team.
National Workplace Wellbeing Day is Ireland’s largest annual day dedicated to workplace health and
wellness, run by Ibec through their KeepWell programme. Hundreds of organisations across the country take part each year, and we wanted to make sure Be Independent was among them.
What we have planned
We’re not just putting our name on the list. We’ve got a proper week of activities lined up for our team:
Team E-Cookbook
Staff sharing their favourite healthy recipes in a digital cookbook
Best Recipe Competition
Friendly rivalry to find the tastiest dish on the team
Two Wellness Webinars
Management hosting two sessions on workplace wellbeing
Team Lunch
A sit-down lunch together on 29 April to mark the day
Lunchtime Walks
Getting out of the office and moving during the week
Breakfast Mornings
Starting the day right with team breakfasts in our offices
Why this matters to us

Get involved on socials
We’ll be sharing what we get up to across our social media channels throughout the week. If you want to follow along, or if you’re taking part in your own workplace, use the official hashtag so we can all see what everyone’s doing:
#WorkWell26
The official hashtag for National Workplace Wellbeing Day 2026. Tag us, and we’ll tag you back. We’re looking forward to the 29th, and to everything we’ve got planned in the run-up. If you’re a member of our team reading this, get your recipes in for the cookbook. And if you’re someone thinking about a career in homecare, this is the kind of workplace you’d be joining.
