We now provide home care in Carlow, Wicklow, Meath and Louth

Where we care

Along with Dublin and Kildare as always. Six counties, one standard of care, and hundreds of new care roles on the way.

Families in Carlow, Wicklow, Meath and Louth can now access home care from Be Independent Home Care. It is the biggest expansion of our service since we were founded, and it means we now care for clients across six counties in the east of Ireland.

We have looked after clients in Dublin and Kildare for years. Over the past year we have been asked, again and again, to travel further: by families, by hospital discharge teams, and by the HSE. This expansion is our answer.

Where we care

The same care, closer to home

Clients in the new counties receive the same service we provide in Dublin and Kildare: personal care, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, palliative care, companionship, and overnight and weekend support. We deliver both HSE-funded home support and private care, and our management team is nurse-led, so every care plan is built and reviewed by people who have done the job themselves.

Care is delivered by carers who live locally. That matters. A carer from your own county knows the townlands, the traffic and the community, and can be there reliably, visit after visit.

Hundreds of new care jobs

Growth on this scale needs people. Recruitment is already under way across Carlow, Wicklow, Meath and Louth, and as the service builds we expect this expansion to create hundreds of new care roles across the region over the coming years.

We are certified as a Great Place to Work, and we offer paid induction, ongoing training and flexible rosters. If you want to care for people in your own community, we want to hear from you at jobs@bihc.ie or on our careers page.

Better care to more people

Be Independent Home Care is part of Virtue Integrated Care, and this expansion is our vision of better care to more people made real. We believe home is where people are at their best: most independent, and most connected to friends, family and community. More counties simply means more people supported to stay there.
