A unique and emotional art exhibition detailing one man’s journey through Alzheimer’s. Dublin born artist Leo Casey was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease about seven years ago. The curator of Artzheimer’s and Founder of The Five Senses for Alzheimer’s, Eimear Farrell, became great friends with Leo Casey during her work with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Their friendship grew over their mutual love of art. This exhibition is a testimonial of Leo’s journey through, what can only be described as a debilitating and most cruel disease. But like everything in life, where there is darkness there is also light.

Alzheimer’s destroys many things but the soul of a person remains perfectly awake.

Exhibition Opening Night is on 4th July and runs until 11th July in the historical surroundings of St. Catherine’s Church, Thomas Street, Dublin 8.
