Be Independent Home Care continue their series of Wellness presentations when they present to the Howth Bridging the Gap Group in St Columbanus Hall, Main Street Howth on the 14th of November 2011. Bridging the Gap are a group of fifteen voluntary workers, in the community of Howth and Sutton. Their role is to foster a greater sense of belonging and care amongst the elderly who may sometimes feel uncared for and lonely. They meet on a regular basis to co-ordinate and identify needs in the community. Visiting the lonely in their homes, in nursing homes, or in hospital is all part of what they do. The presentation to be delivered by one of the health specialists at Be Independent Home Care will cover Health & Wellness topics such as Exercise, Diet and Stress and will also focus on practical tips for how older people can stay healthy and fit during the winter months ahead.
