Be Independent Home Care and Home Help Team

We understand that trust plays a vital part in making the choice to allow a home carer into your home and so selection, security vetting, training and supervision of our care team is central what we do.

Recruitment: At Be Independent Home Care we have a rigorous recruitment policy which ensures that each care candidate undergoes a thorough security vetting process.  This includes a detailed interview by a suitably trained member of the senior management team, 3 reference checks (all references are checked as to their validity and one of these must be from the current or most recent employer) and a Garda Clearance.

Training: Once recruited each carer undergoes a full Induction & Orientation training programme specifically designed for carers working in the home.  Each carer is trained in (or show proof of up to date training in) patient moving & handling, infection control, client confidentiality, communications in caring, food hygiene/food handling and person centred care.

Matching the Carer to the Client: Once fully security vetted and trained we match the carer to an appropriate client. In addition to the levels of care required, when matching carers and clients we take into consideration personality, temperament, skills, capabilities and knowledge. We also provide both male and female carers as required.

Our unwavering focus on matching carer and client is core to our service provision as the success of this relationship is central to the success of our service. We always provide our clients with the opportunity to meet the carer before the care commences so that they can decide if they are completely content for the care to start.
