Be Independent Home Care Live in Care

At Be Independent Home Care we believe that every person has the right to remain in their own home by accessing quality in home care and support and because of this we offer a full-time live in home care solution throughout Dublin that allows you or your loved one to stay at home in familiar, relaxed surroundings. Live in Care offers a direct alternative to a nursing home.

Why choose live in care:

  • Retain your independence. Simple things like having control over meal times can make all the difference.
  • Stay connected to friends, family and the community. There aren't any visiting hours at home and the number of visitors allowed at any one time is not limited. Additionally pets are not a problem.
  • Avoid the emotional stress of moving to a new place with new people and a new routine.
  • Individualized care tailored to your needs.
  • One-on-one care means the caregiver is always available to help with activities of daily living.
  • Healthy and nutritional meals. A home caregiver can make healthy and nutritional meals as well as keep a close eye on the amount of food eaten by the elderly person.
  • Minimises the risk of infection. Hospital acquired infections are becoming an increasing risk in nursing homes and hospitals. Staying at home means avoiding this risk.
  • The costs are comparable with many nursing homes
image-1 How does it work?
Following a detailed needs assessment we select two live in carers to match your needs. We always provide our clients with the opportunity to meet the carer before the care commences. The two carers rotate work on a one week on, one week off basis.

Who is Suitable for Live in Care?

The carers sleep in your home and will require their own bedroom and so it is important for the client to be comfortable with someone sharing their home. Live-in care is generally suitable for those with low to moderate care needs who need ongoing support at home. These include those conditions listed below however if the condition you are facing is not on the list, please contact us to see if we can lend support.
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Motor Neurone Disease
